Poetry Evening with Anna Egoyan and her “Betting on Love” Show

The contemporary poet and poetry reciter Anna Egoyan, known for her emotional performances, has put together a new show called “Betting on Love”. It’s a heartfelt conversation about the bravest choice a person can make. The choice to love – despite one’s fears and doubts, despite distance and time.

This is more than just an evening of poetry. It’s a finely crafted journey through various shades of feelings: from the first trepidations and the naïve belief that miracles can happen to a profound and mature attachment that has stood the test of time. There will be lines about meetings, breakups, loyalty, jealousy, and hope that is stronger than any hardship.

“Betting on Love” is a show where each poem is a stepping stone to the next. Lyrics are intertwined with internal monologues, sincerity is woven with a playful irony, and the silence between the lines says just as much as the words themselves. The intimate and trusting atmosphere makes each story feel like your own.
