A one-man poetic show …What a Son of a Bitch! is superb poetry filtered through the actor’s heart. “The things I do in this show are like myself. For me, reading poetry on stage is the same as playing a part, delivering a monologue. Poems obey the same rules on stage as dramatic roles do. I feel interest in true poetry coming to me in waves. People lack some kind of vitamin in their spiritual nutrition. You read Pushkin – and there are fewer viruses left in the air. His poems are like bell chimes…” says Konstantin Raikin.

This performance offers vibrant, fresh, new readings of poems by the two kindred poetic spirits the great David Samoilov and the genius Alexander Pushkin. A thrilling kaleidoscope of emotions where sadness and joy, humour and melancholy intertwine in a magnificent dance of words!
