On October 8, the stage at Casino Sochi will welcome an artist who knows how to speak to the audience as if she were confiding in a close friend rather than facing hundreds of strangers. Lolita is set to perform a spectacular live concert in the Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone! Let’s be honest: there is no shortage of pop stars on the Russian music scene. But how many of them aren't afraid to appear funny or vulnerable? Lolita Milyavskaya does so with ease and dignity.

Lolita began her career as a backing vocalist for Irina Ponarovskaya and studied stage direction before teaming up with Alexander Tsekalo to give Russian audiences the legendary cabaret duo "Academy"—a bold, homegrown answer to ironic European pop. When the duo split up, many doubted her solo career would succeed. Yet, she released the album Tsvetochki (Flowers), followed by the smash-hit "Show of a Divorced Woman," which sold hundreds of thousands of copies and played to packed houses across the country. Forbes even listed her among the wealthiest entertainers, though the singer herself treats such accolades with characteristic self-deprecating humor.
